Female Tackle Football Info

Age Requirements

Eligible players must be currently enrolled in grade 7 to 12 (U16 & U19)

 

Equipment

All football equipment is provided, with the exception of cleats, gloves and mouthguards which is the responsibility of the player.

 

Practices

6:15 - 8:15 pm

(3-4 practices per week)

All Practices are in Airdrie, Alberta

Season

The Female Tackle football season starts March 15, ending in mid June.

​

Games

Saturday & Sundays

(1 game per week)

Games are played in Calgary, Lethbridge & Red Deer

Fees

2025 Female Football Fees are TBD

-70 to 80 Hours of Practice Time & 6 Regular Season Games plus Playoff Games

-Football Alberta Insurance

-Calgary Female Football League Fees (Referees, Field Rentals, etc.)

-Team Equipment Rental & Field Equipment Maintenance

-Certification of Coaches

-Game Film/ HUDL

-Team Pictures

2025 Female Tackle Football Registration Opens January 2025

The Airdrie Female Tackle Football Team plays in the Southern Alberta Female Football League (SAFFL). Players compete in 6 man tackle football using Canadian Football League rules. The League features six clubs across Central and Southern Alberta.
