What age groups will be offered?
How much is it to register for the Winter Tournament Team and is there a refund policy?
AIRDRIE ECLIPSE ATHLETE TRAINING works with players ages 8-15.
Programs will be setup by age and they will be as follows:
10U: Players born July 1 2014 to June 30 2015
11U: Players Born July 1 2013 to June 30 2014
12U: Players Born July 1 2012 to June 30 2013
13U: Players Born July 1 2011 to June 30 2012
14U: Players Born July 1 2010 to June 30 2011

WE ONLY CARRY A MAXIMUM OF 32 PLAYERS PER TEAM
Your division eligibility is based on your birthday. Depending on the amount of players registered we will sometimes combine age groups together to make one team.
Tryouts June 22, 2025: Cost Free
2025/26 Tournament Team Fees: $450 + $300 Equipment Deposit
*Team fees must be paid in full by October 15th 2025. Minimum of $200 due by July 31st 2025 to hold your spot on the team.
REFUND POLICY: Refunds that are requested after you have been selected to play for the Winter Tournament Team are as follows:

Full Refunds can be granted up to 7 days before the start of our first practice (Sunday August 10, 2025).
-
If a refund is requested after the first practice (Sunday August 10th) has ended, fees will be returned, less a $150 fee for admin fees and team fees.
-
There will be no refunds issued after our final Fall Season practice has been completed on Sunday October 19th, 2025 except in the case of extenuating circumstances.

*Extenuating Circumstances after Final Practice has ended. (Travel ban due to weather, Player Injury, Global Pandemic, etc.) Refunds will be given less a $300 fee for Team Administration Fees as well as jerseys and other equipment specific to each child, will have already been ordered.
ALL EQUIPMENT IS PROVIDED BY ECLIPSE ATHLETIC TRAINING
All football equipment is provided, with the exception of cleats, gloves and mouth guards which is the responsibility of the player. The team collects a $300 equipment deposit that is returned to you during equipment return.

All Players will be equipped with Certified NOCSAE APPROVED HELMETS that are either brand new or have been recently Reconditioned. Helmets we use:

-Riddel Axiom

Players will also be equipped with Xenith Shoulder Pads & 7 Piece Girdles.

*Equipment pickup will take place during the first two weeks of December. Players are only permitted to wear equipment from their Club Team programs if they have written approval from their Head Coach.

What if I get Wait Listed for the Winter Tournament Team??
You get added to the wait list by age group. Players are placed on a team who loses a player from its original roster. If you refuse to join that team you will be dropped to the bottom of the wait list for that age group. NO EXCEPTIONS!
When & Where does the Winter Tackle Team season take place?
How many games/practices will kids receive?
The AIRDRIE ECLIPSE practices will all take place in Airdrie, Alberta at the following facilities starting Sunday August 10th 2025 and going every other Sunday to October 19th 2025:

​​The 5th Annual Battle on The Prairies Tournament runs from Thursday January 8th 2026 to Sunday January 11th 2026 and will take place in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan and Regina Saskatchewan at the following facilities:

What does each player receive with their paid registration?
Each player receives and gets to keep their Home & Away Jersey with their name on it, and Team Hoodie

What is NOT covered with paid registration?
Each family is responsible for the following expenses to participate on the Winter Tackle Tournament Team.

-Travel costs to and from the Practices and Tournament
-Hotel costs
-Food Costs

The average price familes have paid the past 2 years for Travel, Hotel & Food for the Tournament in Moose Jaw Saskatchewan. $1000-$1500.

Hotels avg. Rate per night $135-$155
The season will consist of a June Tryout/Combine, 6 Fall Season Practices, 4 Pre Tournament Practices for a total of 21 hours. The Battle on the Prairies Tournament guarantees every team will play at least 2 games. The Fall Season practices will be approximately 1.5 hours in length and will change to 2.5 hours in length during the Pre Tournament practices in late December early January.
*All Players will PLAY a minimum of 50% of Tournament Games in their position

Players need plan to arrive in Moose Jaw/Regina by Wednesday Evening.

Who will be refereeing games?
All referees will consist of paid, trained and certified officials from the Regina Football Officials Association.
Who will the coaches be?
All coaches are certified through the NCCP (National Coaching Certification Program) and have an up-to-date PRC with a Vulnerable Sector Check. Each coach is actively coaching and in good standing with their respective league.
Most of our coaches come from the Airdrie Football Programs, along with talented coaches from nearby community and high school football teams.
How many players will be on on a team and on the field at one time during game play?
Teams will consist of a maximum of 32 players. All games will consist of 11 players on offense vs. 11 players on defense playing American 4 Down Football with no Special Teams. *All Players will PLAY a minimum of 50% of Tournament Games in their position
